The Sheep
The sheep that are raised for their wool are a little spoiled. They get
all of the best pasture, are coated to protect their wool from
weeds and the sun, and even have names!
We raise Teeswaters, Wensleydales and Rambouillets. The
Teeswaters and Wensleydales have a beautiful, lustrous fleece
with a long staple and wide crimp. The rambouillets are more
common in Wyoming and are known for their dual purpose in
producing a nice fleece as well as good meat. I have cross bred
several rambouillet ewes with a Teeswater buck in order to
produce a fleece that has the high luster of the Teeswater breed
along with the tighter crimp and diversity of the Rambouillet
breed. Their fleeces are some of my favorites!
